Astrum Computing, LLC (“Astrum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Hair Consultation: Hairstyle Try On (“Hair Consultation” or the “App”). This policy explains what information the App processes, why we use it, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Process
Photos and generated images
When you choose a photo and request hairstyle previews, the App sends the photo and your selected hairstyle preferences to our cloud service so the requested previews can be generated. Source photos are processed for the request and are not intentionally stored by Astrum’s application servers. The photo and request may be transmitted to an AI image-processing provider to perform the requested edit. Generated results may be held temporarily to deliver or recover the request; our generation-job records normally expire after approximately one hour. Consultations that you save in the App remain on your device until you delete them.
Anonymous identifiers and security information
The App uses Firebase anonymous authentication and assigns an account-level identifier without requiring your name or email address. We use that identifier for authentication, subscription access, free-use allowances, rate limiting, public voting-link ownership, and security. Firebase App Check and related services may process installation, device-integrity, app-version, network, and diagnostic information to protect the service.
Purchases
Apple processes App Store payments. We and RevenueCat receive subscription and entitlement information, such as product identifier, purchase or renewal status, expiration date, and transaction identifier, so we can provide paid features and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment-card or bank-account details.
Usage, personalization, and diagnostics
We may process feature interactions, generation counts, paywall interactions, subscription tier, app version, language or region settings, and technical diagnostic information. We use this information to operate the App, enforce limits, personalize paywall experiences, run product experiments, diagnose problems, and understand feature performance. The App does not use this information for cross-app tracking.
Public voting links
If you choose to create a voting link, selected generated images, option labels, vote totals, an anonymous owner identifier, and expiration information are stored on our service and made accessible to anyone with the link. Voting links normally expire after seven days. A random browser cookie is used to reduce duplicate votes. You can delete a voting link by deleting the associated saved consultation while connected to the internet.
2. How We Use Information
We process information to:
• generate and deliver hairstyle previews;
• authenticate requests and protect the service;
• save or recover short-lived generation results;
• manage free-use allowances, subscriptions, purchases, and restores;
• create and operate voting links you request;
• personalize paywall and offer experiences;
• analyze product interactions and technical diagnostics;
• prevent fraud, abuse, and service disruption; and
• comply with law and enforce our terms.
3. Service Providers
We use service providers only as needed to operate the App, including:
• Google Firebase and Google Cloud for anonymous authentication, App Check, Remote Config, hosting, and cloud data processing;
• RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management;
• Encore for paywall experiences, personalization, and related interaction analytics;
• Runware and ImageRouter for AI image processing; and
• Apple for App Store distribution, purchases, and device services.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. We may change providers as our service evolves while requiring appropriate safeguards.
4. Tracking and Advertising
Hair Consultation does not request the Apple advertising identifier, does not sell personal information, and does not use App data to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The App does not display third-party advertising.
5. Retention
Source photos are processed for the requested generation and are not intentionally persisted by Astrum’s application servers. Short-lived generation-job records normally expire after approximately one hour. Saved consultations remain on your device until deletion. Voting links normally stop being accessible after seven days and can be deleted earlier from the App. Anonymous usage, security, and subscription records may be retained as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, maintain purchase access, resolve disputes, and comply with law.
6. Your Choices and Deletion
You control whether to select a photo, generate a preview, save a consultation, purchase a subscription, or create a voting link. You can delete saved consultations in the App. When a saved consultation has a voting link, the App attempts to delete that server-side link before removing the local consultation. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account.
To request access to or deletion of server-side information associated with the App, contact us using the support page below. Because the App uses anonymous identifiers, we may need information from the App or device to locate the relevant records.
7. Children
Hair Consultation is not directed to children under 13. Do not submit another person’s photo unless you have permission to do so. A parent or legal guardian should supervise any use involving a minor’s photo.
8. Security and International Processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
9. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the App, providers, or legal requirements. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date.
