WEBSITE PRIVACY

Your analytics choice

This page covers the Astrum field guide website. Each app has its own privacy policy on our company site.

Optional website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people read and which App Store links they choose. We load Google Analytics only after you select Allow analytics. You can decline or change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer.

When allowed, Google processes technical browser and device information, page visits, referral domains, and App Store click events. Analytics cookies can recognize visits in the same browser. We configure the cookie lifetime to 90 days and turn off Google signals and advertising personalization features. Our custom events contain an app slug, article identifier, page path, link destination, and button placement. We do not ask for your name, email, or app account identifier, and we omit query strings and fragments from the page URLs we supply to Analytics.

We store your analytics preference in this browser’s local storage. Declining stops our Analytics events, disables collection through our tag, and removes its accessible first-party Analytics cookies. Clearing browser storage resets your preference. Analytics totals represent consenting visitors; they do not include everyone who reads the website. Google explains its processing in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

App Store links

Download links can include Apple’s provider and campaign tokens to measure downloads attributed to our website. These tokens identify our developer account and marketing campaign, not your identity. Apple operates the App Store and applies its own privacy rules and reporting thresholds. Choosing an App Store link is not itself a download.

Hosting

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes requests to deliver pages and protect its service. Optional Google Analytics is separate from the information the hosting service needs to serve a page.
