This is a small selection, not a ranking of every yogurt. Compare the exact flavor and package: recipes and labels can change. Rounded label values are the starting point, so scaled amounts are approximate. Check your package for ingredients and allergens.

Use your own label.

Enter values from the same labeled serving. Leave added sugar blank if it isn’t listed; we’ll keep it unknown.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR

Low sugar, less sugar, or no added sugar?

A plain yogurt can contain naturally occurring milk sugar while listing 0 g added sugar. Flavored products vary: compare the nutrition label, rather than assuming that plain, vanilla, Greek, or organic tells you the sugar amount.

For example, the 150 g FAGE Total Plain 0% container lists 5 g total sugar and 0 g added sugar. Stonyfield Organic Lowfat Vanilla lists 16 g total sugar, including 9 g added sugar, per 170 g serving. Use per 100 g above to compare equal weights.

Is added sugar different from total sugar?

Total sugar includes both naturally occurring and added sugars. Added sugar is already part of that total. If your label doesn’t report added sugar, total sugar alone cannot tell us how much was added. We don’t subtract a guessed natural-sugar amount.

How does the portion calculation work?

Each nutrient is multiplied by the grams you eat divided by the labeled serving weight. Eating 85 g of a yogurt labeled per 170 g means half of each reported amount. We show up to one decimal place; this does not make rounded food-label values exact.

What should I choose?

Use the sugar comparison alongside protein, ingredients, taste, dietary needs, and the rest of your food choices. Sorting by sugar compares that number; it doesn’t identify the healthiest yogurt for everyone.
