Astrum Computing, LLC (“Astrum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Salon Visit Prep (the “App”). This policy explains how the current version of the App handles information you choose to put in your salon visit plans.
You can add appointment details, stylist notes, reference photos, a photo of your current hair, images that you label as AI previews, and photos of actual results. You choose images through Apple’s photo picker. The App copies only the images you select into its local storage; it does not request access to your entire photo library.
The App may calculate a hair outline from a selected current-hair photo using bundled Google MediaPipe models. This calculation happens on your device. The photo and outline are not sent to Google for this feature.
The current App does not require an account and does not include advertising, analytics SDKs, subscriptions, or cloud-based AI image generation. It does not upload your visit records, photos, notes, or hair outlines to Astrum’s servers.
The App uses your entries to display your visit board, keep a personal record of past visits, and create a consultation PDF when you ask to share one. Records and imported photos are stored in the App’s storage on your device. Your device’s backup settings may include App data in a backup managed by Apple.
The App makes a temporary PDF copy for the iOS share sheet. It removes temporary briefs after the share sheet closes or on the next App launch. When you choose a destination in the share sheet, that destination receives the PDF and handles it under its own privacy practices. Astrum does not choose the destination for you.
If you email support, your email provider and Astrum receive the information you include in your message. Please do not include a photo or other sensitive information unless it is needed for your request.
You can edit your notes, remove a photo from a visit, or delete an entire visit and its saved photos using Manage visits in the App. Uninstalling the App removes its local storage from the device. A device backup may persist according to your backup settings and Apple’s retention practices.
The App does not keep an Astrum account or server copy of your salon visit data for you to delete. If you have a privacy question or need help, contact us at the address below.
The App uses iOS file protection for saved visit records, photos, and temporary PDF briefs. No storage system is perfectly secure. Protect your device and review the destination before sharing a PDF.
Salon Visit Prep is not directed to children under 13. Please only add or share another person’s photo when you have permission to do so.
We may update this policy if the App’s features or data practices change. We will post an updated effective date on this page. Any future cloud AI feature would require updated disclosures and an in-app permission step before a photo is transmitted.
